The Indian-born Waris Ahluwalia is the talented Renaissance man behind jewelry line House of Waris. A CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund nominee in 2010, House of Waris began when Ahluwalia asked a man in Manhattan's Diamond District to produce two rings from a drawing of his. A buyer at Maxfield's in Los Angeles purchased the rings right off his fingers while he was shopping there. Ahluwalia produced his first full collection the following year, learning the goldsmith's craft from an artisan in Rome. Ahluwalia added a line of scarves to his collection for Fall 2011.
